Remap an SAP HANA connection
You can modify the parameters of your connection to the SAP HANA database by changing the source mapping tml
file. ThoughtSpot creates this file automatically, to record the details of the new or updated connections.
Starting in May 2022, ThoughtSpot rebranded pinboards as Liveboards. For backward compatibility, we currently support internal processes and external methods that use the older naming convention. |
Before remapping the existing table or column, ThoughtSpot recommends that you check all dependencies (data sources, formulas, answers, filters, Liveboards), to ensure that they display correctly. |
To remap a SAP HANA connection, follow these steps:
-
Click Data in the top navigation bar.
-
Click the Connections tab in the left navigation bar.
-
Find the name of the connection.
-
Sort each column: Connection name, Connection type, _Modified (date), or Author.
-
Search on these categories.
-
-
Depending on whether you are in tile or list view, either check the box next to the connection you want to remap, or click on the more menu for the connection.
-
Select Remap.
-
In the Remapping window, click Download.
This saves the definition of your connection to your local directory.
-
Edit the file as needed, and save it.
-
Finally, click Browse your files, and upload your edited mapping file to update your connection.
