Connection reference for Amazon RDS MySQL

You need specific information to establish a seamless and secure connection. The following fields are required, except where noted.

Connection name

Connection description

Host

Enter the host name or IP address.

Example

Port

Enter the port number associated with the Amazon RDS MySQL database.

Enter the Amazon RDS MySQL account username.

Specify the database associated with the account. (Optional)
