JDBC DataFlow connection reference

Here is a list of the fields for a jdbc connection in ThoughtSpot DataFlow. You need specific information to establish a seamless and secure connection.

Connection properties

Connection name

Name your connection. Mandatory field.

Example:

Connection type

Choose the JDBC connection type. Mandatory field.

JDBC

Driver name

Specify the JDBC driver class for the database connection. Mandatory field.

JDBC URL

Specify the jdbc url for database connection. Mandatory field.

Example:

jdbc:sqlserver://localhost:1234;databaseName=PUBS

JDBC driver jar

Upload the jdbc jar available in local system. Mandatory field.

JDBC options

Specify the options associated with the JDBC URL.

Optional field.

Example:
jdbc:sqlserver://[serverName[\instanceName][:portNumber]]

Key

Define the key parameter. Mandatory field.

Value

Specify the value for key parameter. Mandatory field.

Encrypt

Encrypt the details for secured authentication. Optional field.

Sync properties

Column delimiter

Specify the column delimiter character. Mandatory field.

Enclosing character

Specify if the text columns in the source data needs to be enclosed in quotes. Optional field.

Example:

This is required if the text data has newline character or delimiter character.

Escape character

Specify this if the text qualifier is mentioned. This should be the character which escapes the text qualifier character in the source data. Optional field.

TS load options

Specifies the parameters passed with the tsload command, in addition to the commands already included by the application. The format for these parameters is:
