Add an Amazon S3 DataFlow connection

You can add a connection to the Amazon S3 file system using ThoughtSpot DataFlow.

Follow these steps:

  1. Click Connections in the top navigation bar.

  2. In the Connections interface, click Add connection in the top right corner.

  3. In the Create Connection interface, select the Connection type.

  4. After you select the Amazon S3 Connection type, the rest of the connection properties appear.

    Connection name

    Name your connection.

    Connection type

    Choose the Amazon S3 connection type.

    Amazon S3 URL

    Specify the Amazon S3 hostname link.

    Other S3-compatible object store

    Enable this option to support non-AWS S3 storage.

    Region

    Specify the location on the globe. Option appears when you select "Other S3-compatible object store."

    Bucket

    Specify the bucket.
    An Amazon S3 bucket name is globally unique, and the namespace is shared by all AWS accounts.

    Folder

    Give the storage folder details. Optional field.

    Authentication type

    Specify the type of security protocol to connect to the instance.

    Access key

    Specify the access key ID generated when creating AWS security credentials.

    Secret key

    Specify the secrete access key generated when creating AWS security credentials.

  5. Click Create connection.
