Remap a Google BigQuery connection

You can modify the parameters of your connection to the Google BigQuery database by changing the source mapping tml file. ThoughtSpot creates this file automatically, to record the details of the new or updated connections.

Before remapping the existing table or column, ThoughtSpot recommends that you check all dependencies (data sources, formulas, answers, filters, pinboards), to ensure that they display correctly.

To remap a Google BigQuery connection, follow these steps:

  1. Click Data in the top navigation bar.

  2. Click the Connections tab at the top of the page.

  3. Find the name of the connection.

    For your convenience,

    • Sort each column: Connection name, Modified (date), or Author.

    • Search on these categories.

  4. Click the name of the connection.

  5. Click the icon more 10px (More options) icon on the upper right, and from the drop-down menu select Remapping.
