Monitor Spotter chats

Administrators can review any Spotter chat in their Org without leaving Spotter, from the All chats list.

Spotter monitoring is available in the Liveboard side panel (New) Spotter 3 experience. In the Answer overlay (Classic) experience and in Spotter 2, use the Spotter Conversations Liveboard.

Prerequisites

  • You must have administrator privileges. Users without administrator privileges don’t see the monitoring options.

  • In a multi-Org instance, monitoring shows data for the Org you are signed in to. To see another Org, switch to that Org.

Open Spotter monitoring

  1. Open Spotter.

  2. Click Settings at the bottom of the left panel.

  3. Select Monitor all chats to open the All chats list.

Review all chats

All chats lists every Spotter chat in your Org, with the most recently modified first, snf 20 per page. The list shows the Chat name, Analyst, Model, Author Name, and Last modified time of each chat.

To find a chat:

  1. In Search, enter part of the chat name.

  2. To narrow the list, click Add filter and select Last modified, Analyst, Model, Author, Origin, or Conversation ID.

To read a chat:

  1. Click on its name.

The chat opens in read-only view, with each question, the time it was asked, and Spotter’s answer as the user saw it.

  2. Click Show work to see how Spotter reached the answer.

  3. Click Close to return to the list.

Your search and filters remain applied.

Monitoring when chat history is turned off

All chats lists only chats that are saved as chat history. If chat history is turned off, new chats are not listed in All chats, and saved chats are hidden immediately, and permanently deleted 15 days later. For more information, see Spotter 3 data handling.
